Commonwealth Day at Government House - a highlight of the Governor General’s Reception for the RCS and Commonwealth High Commissioner’s was his presentation of the Phylis Montgomerie Award to ANU Research Student Cameron Jones. The $5000 award will allow Cameron to undertake research in partnership with Durham University UK on the potential for free-space optical telecommunication technology to enhance communication particularly between small and remote Commonwealth countries and communities.
